The NS 1800 locomotive is an icon on the Dutch railways. The manufacturer Alstom received the first orders from the NS for the 1600 series in 1978. The introduction of the first 1600 dates back to 1981. The split up of NS Reizigers and NS Cargo in 1999 led to the introduction of a new series, namely the 1800 series. This series was mainly used for pulling ICR carriages and double-decker carriages. Over the years, many 1800s have moved on to the freight segment through numerous leases from various freight carriers. To date, the 1800 is still used for all kinds of transport and gives the Dutch railway its own image in a characterful way.

Big Scale Trains is proud of the fact that this iconic model is being released as a small series for use on LGB track. The version for Track 1 and Track 0 will follow in 2023. The first edition will consist of a maximum of 25 reserved locomotives, each with its own locomotive number and accompanying city coat of arms. Use the form below to indicate your choice.
